Comedian Justin Hamilton acoustic guitarist Adam Miller and scientist Dr Karl Kruszelnicki joined forces with Ben Gillies from legendary Australian band Silverchair and his new band Bento to perform concerts for the troops in Tarin Kot Afghanistan as part of the 2013 Forces Entertainment Tour to the Middle East Area of Operations. In Tarin Kot the entertainers met with soldiers from the 7th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment Task Group and participated in a supervised range shoot. The entertainers went on to perform in Kabul and Kandahar in Afghanistan before a final show at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates. The performances gave the deployed forces a welcome break from their busy schedules and daily routine.
