AlpheusThose covered round objects on the left of the main gun
are they IR searchlights? I would have thought the first thing they
would do is upgrade the optics given how Iraqi T-72s with IR
searchlights were out-ranged in the GW and OIF.
You can upgrade your optics and fire control and make it quite
decent for daytime operations without replacing the IR lights with
thermals....thermals are very expensive.
so lets say the iranian military and israel military met i know
its not possible since there both far from each other lets say they met
on the ground who would win

it's quite adequate with upgraded fire control......late model T-72s had better armor against KE than early M1s....

and do tell what T-72 ending up with no turrets has to do with anything?
hell a T-90 will also end up with no turret. thats just because of
their ammo layout that leads to turrets being blown off after the tank
is left burning and the ammo eventualy cooks off in the hull....its not
like that happens directly from an enemy hit on the turret.

One F1BQ crashed in 2000 and another (unknown type) shot down on
the Iran/Afghan border by a MANPADS (Stinger ?) used by local narco
warlords in 2001.
