OsobeastSource?! You didn't know that most of the 8 000 of T-72's
and T-80's doesn't have IR-sights and equipped with 2 gen. NV-sights
and active IR-projectors?
BMP-2/3 has basic combined day/night sight.
Mr.WolandNot your fantasy.
Do you feel the difference between NV-sights and IR-sights don't you?
Thanks emind.
no problem
OsobeastDo you feel the difference between NV-sights and IR-sights don't you?
Do you? Hint - what wave band are the projectors?
I read that according to the FSB there are around 500 permanent
armed supporters of the Umarow placed in the Chechen mountains alone.
So my question is who is actually fighting with those elements? are the
Kadirovis doing all the fighting? or are there any Russian formations in
the mountains?
Hazard1024Do you? Hint - what wave band are the projectors?
Yes i do. Feel the difference between the electro-optical amplifiers and true IR/thermovisors.
Do you feel the difference between NV-sights and IR-sights don't you?
Does BTR-90 with Berezhok turret have the same FCS as BMD-4 and BMPT?
medo-old active IR sight where you need IR light to see anything
OsobeastDo you feel the difference between NV-sights and IR-sights don't you?
Or if u mean thermal sight ?
Osobeast
You need to have quite a vision to interpret what is observed by
active IR sight beyond 500 meters or so. And yes Berezhok universal
turret has FCS identical to that found in BMD-4/4M.
So K-5 you have any opinion on how the Su-27SM of the RuAF
compares to the Su-30MKI in terms of avionics package capability (ECM
radar etc) ?
Passive II night sights specially 1st gen II sights usually need
IR light assistance in total darkness because they need minimal light to
intensify it.
I think majority of russian tanks and BMPs have combined active/passive
II/IR night sights what means in starlight night and with moonlight they
don't need IR projector.
