Army Combat Training School and the Defence Logistics Organization is to test replacements for it soon scrapped light machine gun M/62. The choice is between 6 generation of the American M60 and the newly developed German HK121. The new types are easier and less muzzle heavy which means that they are superior to move around with the patrol on foot. The weapons are tested extensively by Danish LMG-shooters with experience in Iraq and Afghanistan before elections are made.
